Crew Joins Up - 1/31!

 Hey y'all - Super excited to be launching into our Tech Week!  While details will roll out once we are together, here are a couple of things:

1) Crew joins up for the first time!  They're excited to see the acting work and I know we're gonna rock it!

2) The call time for crew tomorrow is 330pm, so that we are ready to go right at the normal call time of 345pm.  Remember my mantra: Early is On Time; On Time is Late; Late...you're [redacted] ;-)

Here's a few Candor (dad) notes from 1/27:

Larson: "Oh no, oh yes" monologue a little fast and little too quiet. Better at "Be as thou was meant to be"

Cass & Joey: Smooth transition

Peter & Marissa: Louder. Always louder!!!

Aspen: "You're eighteen years old"- Couldn't hear this line

Lovers: Thanks for taking my note on the Shakespeare stuff

Joeyy: Is that fall feeling okay? 

EVERYONE LOUDER IN ACT 5!

Ania: Better on Techno mini-monologue and staying engaged during R&J. 

Mechanicals: Okay character choices when Pattie introduces R&J. 

Peter/Marissa/Aspen/Sivan: Thank you for staying engaged during R&J.

Eden/River/Orie: You still look uninterested during R&J. 

Shay: Good character choices

Elias: Take your sass further. I see it, but I know you're capable of more. lol. 

Joeyy: Is Mia supposed to cue you? "Look, here comes Romeo?"

Mia/Denis: Checked in the the "Dies" We just need consistency!

Molly: Don't break character. I know Quinlyn is funny as hell, but stay in it.

CAST REQUEST FOR SUNDAY 1/23!

 MJ Cast,

Along with this post I will be verbally asking you today for your requested presence this Sunday 1/23 at the high school sometime between 12-5pm for a costume fitting with Kaia. She has been hard at work and has gathered a bunch of fun stuff for you to try on. She also works in a school so the only times that she has fully available is weekends. 

I know this is short notice and this date had not been put on our schedule or talked about by me (because I just found out!) so if you can't make it, I understand. We'll work something else out. If you can, it would make things much easier on this end for the production team and for Kaia. 

If you can, I need you to communicate with myself or Candor about when you can make it between 12-5pm. YOU WILL ONLY BE CALLED FOR YOUR FITTING, ABOUT 30 MINUTES. As soon as your fitting is over, you're released. 

Thank you so much for your time and patience. As things pop up we do our best to communicate immediately and accommodate.

[The day will go like this: The LOVERS will be working on the 3.2 fight with Kristen Mun and myself from 10am-12pm. ALL CAST will be called from 11am-2pm to meet with our costumer Kaia, so she can take everyone's measurements and meet with each of you one-on-one. During that time, ALL FAIRIES will meet with Clara in 108 for choreography rehearsal (Fairies: wear movement clothes!) and I will be working with Titania/Oberon scenes/ Helena's monologues and any other points of interest on the main stage. Expect to stay until 2pm, but there may be a chance that some of you might be released early. I'll let you know on the day.]

Production/Tech Schedule

 Hey y'all - 

Attached below, and linked on the side of the page, is the preliminary production calendar for the show...at least for now (thanks Omicron...).  Please look over both pages and bring yourself up to speed on the listed dates...which are fewer than usual on one of our shows.

The biggest keys for the Technical staff are going to be this Monday, 1/10, for an orientation meeting to our process (dates, roles, etc) and the dates after 1/31 (the Tech and Run of the Show).  Please look them over closely and communicate with your families about schedules: Once committed, it's very challenging to break, as we'll be assigning tasks that have to happen every night, every show.

Thanks for your patience!  Navigating this time has been intensely challenging...let's do this!
