Auditions: Day 2 - Group General

Hi all -

Thanks for all of your great work on day one of Auditions!  Fun stuff!

Today (11/30) we'll be doing group readings.  Given there seems to be some confusion over what is asked for schedule-wise, check out the following clarifying info:

-all auditioning actors are asked to arrive before 400pm for a 400pm start.  Please put your personal items in the drama room, and be in the auditorium for that 400pm start

-expect to stay through 630pm.  we'll release you early if we can, but we've several people to see and want to give you the best opportunity we can.

-wear movement-friendly clothing.  this is a comedy with lots of movement...you don't want to be limited in your movement.

Any questions?  Email me or Heath with any questions...our emails are in the audition packet!

Auditions Begin Tomorrow!

 Hey there folks!

Auditions begin tomorrow, 11/29, after school in the auditorium.  Remember, specific audition information is in the Audition Packet, downloadable in the link on the right hand side of this page.

Some highlights:

-Monday's (11/29) first round of general auditions will ask you to sign up for a specific audition time on the callboard outside the Drama Room (108)...make sure you sign up!

-Please be dressed in clothes you're comfortable moving in, and have your monologue ready to go.  While we'll of course be ready to see you read something else if you don't have a monologue ready as per the instructions, that'll give us a better idea of your skills.

-Make sure you have the audition form (signed!), headshot (selfie is great!), resume (if you want only), and conflicts (complete!) to make up your paperwork packet.

-Work to make sure you have your scheduled Monday appointment, after school Tuesday, and prospective callbacks on Wed/Thur. free...if we can't see your work it makes you hard to cast.

-Oh, and have fun!  We are beyond excited to see your work...See you soon!

Welcome to the Jersey Shore!

Welcome to our first true mainstage production since February of 2020!

As we get started, it's time to dust off some things:

1) Click the link to the right to read through the script prior to auditions on 11/29...know what you're getting into!

2) Click the other link to the right to download your audition packet prior to auditions.  You'll need to read it through thoroughly in advance, and have certain paperwork prepared in order to try out...please do so!  Any questions, please email producer Jamie Miller at mjamie@pps.net.

3) Some keys from the packet: You'll need to prepare a sub-1 minute monologue...preferably comedy.  We haven't seen work in a while!; you'll need to sign up for a general audition slot on day 1 (11/29); you'll need to bring certain paperwork and signatures to your first day of auditions...know them and have them!

4) Tech/Management sign ups will post on 11/29...we need you too, tech artists!

There'll be more to come.  See y'all very soon!
