Pickup/Photos Day - 2/16

Here are the pertinent details for our upcoming pickup rehearsal/photo shoot day, 2/16:

Calls:

-Actors: In costume, makeup, warmed up, and onstage by 440pm (costume and dressing rooms open by 300pm for flex day).

-Crew: 400pm to ready stage for full run of show.

Run of Show:

-Go/Act I: 445pm

-Intermission: 5 minutes

-Go/Act II: 545pm

-Supplementary Photos/Notes: 630pm

Some notes about the day:

1) Make sure you eat before you get into costume! We have flex starting at 230pm-ish...there's plenty of time.

2) Once you are in makeup and costume, no eating...plan for that.

3) We will be shooting photos from the house during the run of pickup...we will get anything we can't get from there at 630pm.

4) Full out, full energy in your pickup rehearsal...keep the integrity of the show intact.  Treat it as you would a full performance...'cause it is.

5) Check your props and costume pieces prior to 440pm...because, duh.

6) Hopefully you had a good break...your audience is waiting!

7) Check in with any questions!

Some notes from your Stage Manager...

All of the times listed below are exact and need to be exact unless you have a very good reason, and have communicated that with one of us SMs!

This is the Actor pre show, intermission and post show expectations.

Pre Show:

  • Put personal items in the drama room

  • Lovers + Oberon & Titania be in shoes with hair up (if needed) for fight call at 5:30

  • Other actors are permitted to get ready as soon as they arrive but are still required to be there at exactly 5:30! During this time you are either in the costume shop hallway (includes dressing rooms obvi), drama room, or auditorium. If you aren’t in these spaces, then someone who is in one of them is aware of where you are...preferably an SM. Also if you're not in these spaces you aren’t wandering around.

**NOTE FOR DRESSING ROOMS: 3 people to a dressing room. In the dressing rooms you have 7 mins to get into your costumes. We are doing makeup and everything else outside of the dressing rooms. This does not mean we leave the hallway messy, though! Clean up after yourself, please.

  • Warmups start at 6:50 in the Drama Room!

  • Places at 7:25!

  • Go at 7:30!

Intermission:

  • Double check where your own props and costumes are.

  • Water! Please hydrate!

Post Show:

  • Put your top of show outfit in your box (the outfit you wear first)

  • Every clothing item that you have that needs to be backstage for the show needs to be taken to the costume shop to be hung by costuming. This includes accessory/goodie bags, wings, shoes, etc.!!!!

On a lighter note here are the spirit days (this is for everyone and is just for fun! Also all of these are open for interpretation!):

Preview 1/10: Magical Flower day (Floral patterns)

Opening 1/11: #Lovers day

2nd show 1/12^2: ASM day

Pickup Rehearsal 1/16: Roar…ROAR (Animal prints lol)

3rd Performance 1/17: POV you're attending a triple wedding!

4th Performance: Dad Day

LaSt PeRfOrMaNcE: Fairy day

Show Week…Day 1!

Hey folks…happy Show Week!

For tonight remember:

1) Call is at 530pm today. That is for EVERYONE including crew. Expect that we’ll stagger calls later in the week, but for today we need everyone on time.

2) We are releasing today at 1000pm. Make sure that this is communicated to your families…we will likely need that time, especially for 1st Dress.

3) Eat beforehand! We won’t, for COVID reasons, be providing food or snacks…take care of yourselves!

4) Maximum of 3 actors and one makeup assistant in each dressing room. Unfortunately, this will really change our preshow culture…but thems the rules right now.

5) Sign in sheet is in the Drama Room. All cast and crew will need to sign in each day to make Dad’s life easier!

See y’all later…let’s do this!
